Aspects of digital content, creation and production

Digital learning materials (e-learning materials) are formed from a variety of resources such as lecture notes, presentations, videos, quizzes, and demonstrations.

Lecture notes

Lecture notes refer to the points presented by the teacher during the teaching and learning which are prepared and prepared before the teaching and also sent to the students in the form of teaching references.

These notices are very comprehensive and clear. These tips make it easier to remember and revise a topic. During the lecture, students can write important points or teachers can use technology to convey notes to students in the form of images or PDFs, or audio material (podcasts).

PowerPoint Presentation

This is a very effective slide presentation that is often shown in the classroom with the help of a projector. In addition, teaching materials can be easily presented online through PowerPoint.

The content of the presentation of the article can be done through PowerPoint in the form of Bullet Points, Images, Audio, Animation as well as Videos.

It is an effective means of teaching and learning. This method is very comfortable for the teacher as the content is almost present on the screen in the form of points, shapes, maps, sketches, pictures, sounds.

Due to which the interpretation of the subject in a short time becomes clear, attractive, common sense, and easy. Students also enjoy this way of teaching. Unlike traditional teaching in the PowerPoint method, there is no need to draw sketches and pictures on the board with chalk due to which the teaching functions are performed very fast and efficiently.

PowerPoint presentation is also called PPT. PPT (content-based slides) can also be shared with students. PPTs can be modified or rearranged or rearranged according to the needs of the students.

Educational videos

Videos are a great source of knowledge. It includes all kinds of audio and video content with text and narration. They can be downloaded, viewed by students to understand the concepts, replayed thirteen times, and even repeated. Making videos is a relatively difficult and tedious process compared to other online teaching materials.

There is no doubt that educational videos are one of the most interesting and engaging educational resources. Intelligent, average, weak, stupid students of all kinds love educational videos. According to modern trends, the use of videos in the classroom has increased rapidly. There is a great need to make educational videos in all disciplines and fields related to education. There is a strong possibility that demand will increase further in the coming days.

Quiz

Quizzes are often used as an assessment tool in teaching. Students are given multiple-answer questions (multiple-answer, multiple-choice) whose answers are pre-programmed for self-examination. Due to which the work of assessment and evaluation is done very fast. Nowadays there are various software resources like Google Software Forms etc. Just do the automatic testing. Student results also appear automatically on a computer screen or smartphone.

Collection of questions

Explanatory set questions can be assigned to test students' analytical abilities. Students are given a variety of descriptive questions based on Numerical Questions, Design (Sketching), Drafting, Drawing, etc. By adopting the above method and examining the students' answers, their abilities can be assessed. This is the most popular and simple traditional method of testing.

Practical demonstrations

Practical performance education is very important, especially in science, engineering, and medicine. Practical work can be shown to some extent online. It largely depends on the nature of online education. Simple Practicals can be reported and recorded online. In addition, they can be webcast live or by editing after recording. This task can be easily learned with the help of software. Students can practice on the computer by watching videos of practical work at home.

There are many online simulation-based laboratories that allow students to visualize the layout of the labs. Through this artificial laboratory, students can perform virtual layout and organization and also observe their own results. Analysis can be done at the end.

The number of such laboratories is very high in developing and developed countries. These laboratories are very interactive. Even beyond the curriculum, students can have a lot of formal experiences.

There are also several virtual physical laboratories. It consists of a one-stop laboratory connected to a computer and the Internet. Where real experience or practical work is done. These virtual labs can be used by registered remote students (users, users).

Users can not only control all the parameters of the setup (set scales) but also perform the physical work remotely as well as view the actual setup. You can also measure the required amount (parameters). Users can take note of the readings (measurements), analyze them manually or with the help of inbuilt software downloaded on the computer. These experiences seem very real.

Direct vs. provision of recorded education

Online education can be provided in two ways, for example

(1) Direct ie synchronous, time to perform work

(2) Recorded Asynchronous

Both methods have their strengths and weaknesses

Live or Synchronous

Live recordings can be webcast to students via the computer and the Internet via the teacher. The great advantage of direct, synchronous education is that it provides instant interaction between teacher and student. Apps are available for live learning sessions on various online platforms, including Zoom, GeoMate, GoogleMate, Thames, WebX, and more.

Facebook Live and YouTube Live can be used for a large number of participants. Direct communication between the two is possible only through text message (chat). Sometimes the number of listeners (participants) is also uncertain. Both teachers and students sometimes face network problems. Teachers also need to have the technical skills to use technology.

Offline, recorded Asynchronous

In this process, educational videos are first created and then edited and stored. Recorded videos and other acquired, testing, and diagnostic content across different platforms such as Moodle, Teachable, YouTube, Google, Google Drive, Google Classroom ) Etc. are provided. Links are sent to students through social media such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or Email.

Students can enroll online for private courses and private discussions. The biggest advantage of these asynchronous courses is that they are self-paced (in which students can learn at their own pace). As a result, students are not under any pressure to compete with their peers and they can use the material at the right time according to their acquired speed.

Recorded videos can be paused and viewed again, thirteen times or more. Video speeds can be adjusted according to the student's learning and absorption. Parts of the video that students have already learned and read can be viewed further.

These videos can be used year after year for new learners (from generation to generation). With this method of acquisition, the students do not get scared and upset by the questions of the teachers such as what they understood, etc., and also avoid embarrassment and regret. Such videos are very useful and encouraging for students with special needs such as autism, dyslexia. In addition, needy students can study during the day while working at night or in their spare time. There are many learning-based methods available in this system that can be used to properly manage, analyze, evaluate and monitor students' learning activities. In addition, they may be provided with a certificate.

Using Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC), various educational companies such as Udemy, Coursera, and major universities around the world are offering various certificate courses, diplomas, and degree courses. All these are run in the form of Massive (open online courses).

The feedback received during such teaching is used to improve the system. Local madrassas are now competing with global madrassas by providing recorded lessons and videos online. Offline (Asynchronous) learning methods are very important today.

Summary Conversation

Today there are various means, resources, and methods of teaching and learning available. Teachers can create their own courses and present them globally through technology. By making better use of this resource to present their teaching skills, teachers can not only prove their mettle but also earn money.
